Asian markets spurt towards the close

The Nikkei rallied 403 points (4.5%) to 9,386. The Hang Seng surged 383 points (2%) to 17,218.

The Shanghai Composite moved up five points to 2,597. The Straits Times ended 49 points up (2%) at 2,228.

The Seoul Composite and the Taiwan Weighted Indexes settled marginally higher at 1,401 and 6,573, respectively.

The Nikkei is up 149 points(1.6%) to 8,977. The Hang Seng has advanced 49 points to 16,430.

The Shanghai Composite has added seven  points to 2,567.

The Straits Times and the Seoul Composite have moved up over 2% each to 2,074 and 1,398, respectively. The Taiwan Weighted Index is up marginally by 49 points to 6,380.

Following yesterday's trend, Asian markets have opened up this morning.

The Nikkei has surged 4.5% (402 points) to 9,379. Investor's relief over increasing economic recovery hopes have boosted financial shares as the market opened for trading after three-days of holiday. The Hang Seng has rallied 2.5% (437 points) to 17,271.

The Straits Times has gained 2.5% (54 points) at 2,233. The Seoul Composite has added over 1% (17 points) to 1,411.

The Taiwan Weighted and the Shanghai Composite have also moved up.
