The Hang Seng is up 12 points at 15,589. The Nikkei has slipped 69 points to 8,591.
The Taiwan Weighted index has moved up 15 points to 4,674. The Straits Times index has declined 12 points to 1,809, while the Seoul Composite index has added nine points to 1,154.
The Shanghai Composite index is down nine points at 2,070.
