Asian markets subdued; Nikkei flat

Asian markets are mostly subdued this morning.

The Hang Seng has gained 263 points at 22,927. The Nikkei is down seven points at 12,598.

The Taiwan Weighted index has moved up 20 points to 8,626. The Straits Times index has added ten points to 3,035, and the Seoul Composite index has advanced 16 points to 1,693.

The Shanghai Composite index is up six points at 3,418.
