The Nikkei Stock Average is down 0.4% at 9,141 as exporters weigh; yen continues to trade near 15 month high.
Shanghai Composite has risen 0.3% to 2,650.5, Taiwan Weighted is up 0.9% to 8,000, Hang Seng has fallen 0.2% to 20,937.5 on back of losses in banks and Chinese property developers.
