Asian markets were trading mixed in the morning session on weak overnight cues from Wall Street as investors turned to the sidelines ahead of the earnings.
Japan's Nikkei 225 droped 0.2%, at 10,517 as exporters lost ground on back of rising Yen. Hong Kong's Heng Seng index was up 0.2%, at 23,562 bolstered by energy shares after crude edged higher. China's Shaghai Composite was down 0.7%, at 2773 and South Korea's Seoul Composite dipped 0.3%.
However, Straits Times and Taiwan Weighted bucked trend, up 0.1% and 1% each.
