Asian markets were trading mixed on Thursday morning, earnings expectations lifted Japense shares but further tightening expecations from Beijing weighed on property and financial stocks.
The Nikkei Stock Average was up 0.3% on expectations that earnings season which is commencing this week will bring some positive surprises.
China's Shanghai Composite index slipped 1% on anticipation of further monetary tightening by People's bank of China which will weigh on the banking shares.
Seoul Composite and Taiwan Weighted were up 0.5% and 0.04% each. Singapore's Strait Times was down 0.1%. Hong Kong's Hang Seng markets were shut on account of Holiday.
