Markets were mostly weak across Asia on back of weak overnight cues from Wall Street and profit booking in Japan as earthquake aftermath weighed on some shares.
The Nikkei Stock Average declined 1.6% to 9,455 after rising almost 7.2% in the past two days.
Hong Kong's Hang Seng was fell 0.2% dragged down by losses in China Coal Energy Company and China Life Insurance Company posted disappointing results. Coal producers weighted.
South Korea's Kospi Composite fell 0.2% and Taiwan's Weighted index declined 0.3%%.However Shanghai Composite bucked trend, the index was trading in the green, up 0.7% and Singapore's Strait Times edged up 0.5%.
