Asian markets trading on a mixed note

Reflecting the sentiment of the US markets, Asian indices too revealed a weak trend.

Asian indices are trading on a subdued note, as investors remain cautious about the corporate earnings season this week. The Nikkei average fell43.71 points or 0.39% to 11,246 by the midday break.

The broader TOPIX index shed 0.39 percent to 1,134.71, while the Hang Seng has barely edged up 22 points to 13409.

Among the other Asian indices, the Kospi has dropped  marginally by 6 points at 917, while the KLSE Composite too has slumped 6 points at 923.
