Asian markets up in early trades

Asian markets are mostly in the positive zone in early trades today.

The Hang Seng has surged 156 points to 21,885. The Shanghai Composite index has moved up 17 points to 4972.

The Straits Times index has gained 48 points at 3277, the Seoul Composite index has added 23 points to 1759.

However, the Nikkei has slipped 29 points to 15,872, and the Taiwan Weighted is down 18 points at 8461.
