Bajaj Auto is trading lower by 2% at Rs 1,752 after reporting 10% year-on-year (yoy) drop in total sales at 301,231 units for the month of March 2013. The country’s second largest two-wheeler maker had sold 335,515 units during the same month previous year.
Within this motorcycles saw an 11% fall in sales, while commercial vehicles fell by 1%. Total exports too, declined 6% at 101,374 units, according to a press release on the Bombay Stock Exchange (BSE).
Meanwhile, the Pune-based company has reported a 3% yoy drop in its total sales at 4.24 million units during the entire financial year 2012-13, against 4.35 million units sold in FY11-12.
