Bajaj Auto GDR gains

The Instanex Skindia DR Index (ISDI) was down 0.90 per cent to 946.43 on Tuesday in early trades.
 
Among ISDI global depository receipts (GDRs), three advanced, one remained unchanged and three lost ground. The gainers were Bajaj Auto up 12.18 per cent to $21.37, Hindalco up 2.19 per cent to $27.99 and a volume of 5,000 GDRs and Reliance up 0.44 per cent to $22.74 and a volume of 57,313 GDRs.
 
The major losers were Ranbaxy down 4.47 per cent to $23.50 and a volume of 8,500 GDRs, ITC down 2.11 per cent to $24.57 and a volume of 4,379 GDRs and SBI down 0.71 per cent to $25.07 and a volume of 61,341 GDRs.
 
The ISDI, which represents the ADRs and GDRs of 15 actively traded companies, closed down 0.92 per cent to 946.71 on September 27, 2004, and was trading at a price-to-earning multiple of 17.20 (down by 0.83 per cent).
 
Among the ISDI ADRs, one advanced and seven lost ground. The only gainer was Wipro, up 2.72 per cent to $17.75. The major losers were Dr Reddy's down 2.38 per cent to $16.40, Infosys down 2.10 per cent to $54.45 and Satyam down 1.82 per cent to $22.15.
