Bajaj Auto, Hindalco GDRs up

Indian global depository receipts (GDR) traded flat till mid-trading session on Thursday in London.
 
The Instanex Skindia DR Index (ISDI) remained more or less unchanged for the second consecutive day at 945.57.
 
Bajaj Auto's GDR rose 3.45 per cent to $22.50, registering volumes of 10,000 receipts. Hindalco surged 2.99 per cent to $29.25 with volumes of 15,000 receipts.
 
However, Reliance Industries fell 1.31 per cent to $24.82 with volumes of 12,034 receipts. Ranbaxy Lab's GDR tumbled 0.79 per cent to $25.25 with volumes of 59,300 receipts.
 
On Wednesday, ISDI fell 0.12 per cent to close at 942.19. While the ISDI price-earning ratio fell 0.16 per cent to 18.24.
 
Meanwhile, Asian stock indexes were mixed on Thursday, but a weakening yen gave export and auto stocks in Japan the much-needed push.
 
The Nikkei 225 average gained 1.66 per cent or 164.58 points to 10,075.14. The broader Topix put on 1.06 per cent to 990.93. Japanese carmakers and export stocks were on the rise "� notably, Canon, Toyota Motor Co, Honda Motor and Nissan. Elsewhere, Kospi lost 0.44 per cent to 791.13.
 
Hong Kong and Singapore were both on the rise in late trading. In Taiwan, the Taiex index rose 1.1 per cent.
 
In Australia, S&P/ASX 200 index dipped 0.7 per cent to 3,189.4.
 
US markets traded marginally higher in early trades on Thursday. But Indian securities listed on the US exchanges were mostly lower, but techs managed gains.
 
Infy, the Infosys Technologies ADR rose $1.52 to $85.52. Wit, the Wipro ADR surged $1 to $41.66.
 
Say, the Satyam Computer ADR added 36 cents to $22.89 But IBN, the ICICI Bank ADR fell 14 cents to $14.38. VSL, the VSNL ADR eased down 24 cents to $5.67. RDY, the Dr Reddy's Labs ADR tumbled 16 cents to $29.60. HDB, the HDFC Bank ADR plunged 6 cents to $26.96 and MTE, the MTNL ADR lost 10 cents to $5.24.
