Bajaj Auto was in the limelight on Wednesday on talks that the company has finalised a deal with Kawasaki Motors to distribute Bajaj Auto's fastest selling bike CT 100 in select overseas markets.

This is on top of the earlier deal where in they were contracted to sell some other fast selling models such as Pulsar and Caliber.

The Bajaj Auto scrip hit an intra-day high of Rs 1,133.90 before closing at Rs 1,119.45, up 1.01 per cent. More than 76,811 shares were traded on the BSE on Wednesday.

Market sources said that good sales in the festival month of November and a fall in international oil prices have helped in attracting investor attention on the bourses.

Said a dealer from a local brokerage, "Bajaj's total bike sales saw a big jump year on year in November 2004 as the festive season boosted sales."
