Bajaj Auto Sheds 22.10% To $11.2

The Instanex Skindia DR Index (ISDI), which tracks 15 actively-traded Indian depository receipts, eased 1.21 per cent to 511.24 on Tuesday in early trades in London. Global depository receipt (GDR) of State Bank of India rallied 0.20 per cent to $15.21. In early trades, SBI was the only gainer among Indian GDRs.

But Bajaj Auto shed 22.10 per cent to $11.2 and was the top loser among Indian GDRs. Followed by Reliance (down 0.49 per cent to $11.85), Ranbaxy Laboratories (down 0.34 per cent to $14.60) and Larsen & Toubro (down 0.12 per cent to $8.02). On Monday, ISDI finished down 0.51 per cent to close at 511.24. The premium also moved down by 0.51 per cent to 10.86.

 

On Monday, Indian securities wilted on reports that US state governments might prohibit outsourcing to Indian tech companies to foster indigenous businesses. Infy, the Infosys ADR, shed $3.35 to close at $64.75.

Wit, the Wipro ADR, fell 70 cents to $29.45 and Say, the Satyam Computer ADR, lost 8 cents to $10.18. Internet stocks lost as well. Sify, the Satyam Infoway ADR eased 5 cents to $3.55 and Redf, the Rediff.com ADR, dropped 25 cents to $2.19.

Other losers included, VSL, the VSNL ADR (down 5 cents to $3.55) and RDY, the Dr Reddy
