US markets gained on Thursday with banks and technology shares giving a boost to the economy.
The Dow added 46 points to 8,331. The Nasdaq advanced 25 points (1.5%) to 1,689.
Indian ADRs were mostly up.
ICICI Bank led the rally with 6% gain at $22.29. Tata Motors and Patni Computers surged 4.5% each to $7.48 and $8.4, respectively.
HDFC Bank rallied 4% to 76.81. Infosys advanced 3.5% to $31.48.
Dr Reddy's, Wipro and MTNL added 2-3% each.
Meanwhile, Genpact slipped 3% to $9.5. Tata Communications declined 2.5% to $21.4.
