Barley prices recovered by Rs 3.40 to Rs 1,143 per quintal in the future trading today following short covering by traders.
At the National Commodity and Derivatives Exchange, barley price for the contract of August month delivery at Jaipur recovered by Rs 3.40, or 0.30 per cent to Rs 1,143 per quintal, with an open interest of 5,160 lots.
In the current July month contract also, it gained by Rs 1.60, or 0.14 per cent to trade at Rs 1,122 per quintal, having an open interest of 14,830 lots.
