Base metals advanced further at the non-ferrous metal market here today on good industrial demand on the back rising trend in the London Metal Exchange (LME).
Meanwhile, copper sheet cuttings eased due to lower offtake from industrial users. Nickel firmed up by Rs 5 per kilo to Rs 1,135 from yesterday's closing level of 1,130.
Copper cable scrap, copper armiture, copper wire bar and brass utensils scrap moved up by RS 2 per kilo each to Rs 378, Rs 361, Rs 406, and Rs 257, respectively.
Copper scrap heavy, copper utensils scra, brass sheet cutting and lead inched up by a rupee per kilo to Rs 371, Rs 346, Rs 264 and Rs 111.
However, copper sheet cutting softened by a rupee per kilo to Rs 358.
