Base metals decline on subdued industrial offtake

Base metals declined in an otherwise sluggish non-ferrous metal market here today on reduced offtake from industries despite prices ruling firm at the London Metal Exchange (LME).  

Tin prices dropped by Rs 10 per kilo to Rs 1,355 from overnight closing level of Rs 1,365.

Copper cable scrap and copper wire bar fell by Rs 3 per kilo each to Rs 399 and Rs 427 as against Rs 402 and Rs 430. 

Copper armiture moved down by Rs 2 per kilo to Rs 385.

Copper scrap heavy, copper sheet cutting, brass utensils scrap and brass sheet cutting all softened by a rupee per kilo each to Rs 393, Rs 382, Rs 265 and 273 respectively.
