Nickel prices declined sharply at the non-ferrous metal market here today due to stockists selling coupled with lower industrial demand.

Elsewhere, aluminium, brass, copper, zinc and lead also dropped on reduced off-take from consumer industries.

Meanwhile, tin firmed up owing to good demand from industrial users.

Nickel tanked by Rs 20 per kilo to Rs 1,095 from Monday's closing level of Rs 1,115 and aluminium ingots fell by Rs 5 per kilo to Rs 117, as against Rs 122 previously.

Brass sheets cutting moved down by Rs 3 per kilo to Rs 261 from Rs 264. Copper armiture eased by Rs 2 per kilo to Rs 358.

Copper utensils scrap, copper sheets cutting, aluminium utensils scrap, zinc and lead, all softened by a rupee per kilo each to Rs 343, Rs 354, Rs 92, Rs 120 and Rs 108, respectively.

However, tin rose by Rs 5 per kilo to Rs 1,115 from Rs 1,110 previously.
