Select base metals rose at the narrowly-mixed non-ferrous metal market here today due to higher industrial offtake.

Meanwhile, tin and copper utensils scrap prices declined marginally on subdued demand from consumer industries.

Nickel strengthened by Rs 10 per kilo to Rs 1,140 from Thursday's closing level of Rs 1,130 and copper sheets cutting rose by Rs 6 per kilo to Rs 375, as against Rs 369 yesterday.

Copper armiture, brass sheets cutting, zinc and lead, all inched up by a rupee per kilo each to Rs 376, Rs 267, Rs 125 and Rs 112, respectively.

However, tin fell further by Rs 5 per kilo to Rs 1,320 from Rs 1,325 and copper utensils scrap eased by Rs 2 per kilo to Rs 354.
