Base metals fell at the non-ferrous metal market here today on heavy stockists offloading on the back of declining trend at the overseas.
The industrial metals slipped at the London Metal Exchange (LME) following IMF cut in economic forecast outlook of US and Japan.
Nickel prices tumbled by Rs 25 per kilo to Rs 1,335 from Monday's closing level of Rs 1,360. Copper utensils scrap dropped by Rs 7 per kilo to Rs 429 as compared to Rs 436 previously.
Copper cable scrap, copper scrap heavy, copper armiture, copper wire bar, copper sheet cutting and tin all declined by Rs 5 per kilo each to Rs 475, Rs 466, Rs 458, Rs 503, Rs 451 and Rs 1,635 respectively.
Brass sheet cutting moved down by Rs 3 per kilo to Rs 323. Brass utensils scrap, zinc and lead edged down by Rs 2 per kilo each to Rs 317, Rs 132 and Rs 130.
