Base metals firms up on rising global cues

Base metals prices firmed up further at the non-ferrous metal market here today due to hectic stockists buying as well as industrial support amidst rising global cues.

In London Metal Exchange (LME), the industrial metals extended its rally following weakening dollar on the back recovery in Chinese imports. 

Nickel and copper scrap heavy both rose by Rs 5 per kilo each to Rs 1,335 and Rs 464 from overnight closing level of Rs 1,330 and Rs 459. 

Copper cable scrap, copper armiture, copper wire bar and copper sheet cutting all gained by Rs 4 per kilo each to Rs 474, Rs 456, Rs 502 and Rs 450 respectively.

 

Copper utensils scrap moved up by Rs 2 per kilo to Rs 429.

Brass utensils scrap, brass sheet cutting, aluminium utensils scrap and zinc inched up by a rupee per kilo each to Rs 317, Rs 324, Rs 109 and Rs 131.
