Base metals recover on firm global cues

Most of the base metals prices recovered at the non-ferrous metal market here today due to fresh buying from stockists coupled with good industrial demand.

A rebound in metal prices at the London Metal Exchange (LME) also influenced the trading sentiment. Meanwhile, zinc eased on lower buying support from consumer industries.

Tin hardened by Rs 17 per kilo to Rs 1,102 from the yesterday's closing level of Rs 1,085.

Copper scrap heavy rose by Rs 4 per kilo to Rs 370, as against Rs 366 previously.

Copper cable scrap and copper wire bar both moved up by Rs 3 per kilo to Rs 375 and Rs 403.

 

Copper armiture, copper sheets cutting, brass sheets cutting and aluminium utensils scrap, all inched up by a rupee per kilo to Rs 361, Rs 356, Rs 263 and 95 respectively.

However, zinc softened by a rupee per kilo to Rs 119.
