Base metals rise on global cues

Base metals gained smartly at the non-ferrous metal market here today on good industrial demand amid rising trend in the London Metal Exchange (LME). 

Tin spurted by Rs 10 per kilo to Rs 1,310 from last Saturday's closing level of Rs 1,300 and copper scrap heavy rose by Rs 6 per kilo to

Copper cable scrap and copper wire bar moved up by Rs 3 per kilo each to Rs 419 and Rs 447 as against Rs 416 and Rs 444 last weekend.

Nickel, zinc and copper armiture edged up by Rs 2 per kilo each to RS 1,177, Rs 127 and Rs 400 respectively.

Copper sheet cutting, brass utensils scrap, aluminium utensils scrap and lead all inched up by a rupee per kilo each to Rs 393, Rs 271, Rs 102 and Rs 110.
