Base metals slid further at the non-ferrous metal market here today due to heavy offloading by stockists along with poor industrial demand amid weak trend at London Metal Exchange (LME).
Meanwhile, tin prices recovered moderately on fresh offtake from alloy industries.
Nickel prices dropped by Rs 10 per kilo to Rs 1,390 from yesterday's closing level of Rs 1,400 and copper utensils scrap declined by Rs 7 per kilo to Rs 416 as against Rs 423 previously.
Copper sheet cutting fell by Rs 5 per kilo to Rs 437 from overnight closing level of Rs 442.
Copper cable scrap, copper scrap heavy, copper armiture, copper wire bar and brass utensils scrap dropped by Rs 4 per kilo each to Rs 467, Rs 457, Rs 445, Rs 495, and Rs 303, respectively.
Brass sheet cutting moved down by Rs 3 per kilo to Rs 315.
Aluminium utensils scrap, zinc, and lead softened by a rupee each per kilo to Rs 105, Rs 133, and Rs 119, respectively. However, tin firmed up by Rs three per kilo to Rs 1,685 from Rs 1,682 yesterday.
