BGR Energy rises on new order from Maharashtra

The BGR Energy Systems’ scrip surged 5.2 per cent to Rs 278.65 on reports that it has bagged a project worth Rs 1,632 crore from Maharashtra Power Generation Corporation for expansion of 2X500 Mw Chandrapur super-thermal power station.

The contract includes design, engineering, supply, erection, testing and commissioning of mechanical, electrical, and civil and structural works. The stock opened at Rs 260 and made an intra-day high of Rs 284 and a low of Rs 260. Total traded volumes stood at 170,000 shares.
