BGR Energy soars on Rs 1,573-cr order from OPGC

The order is for OPGC's 2X660 MW thermal power plant with third and fourth units.

BGR Energy Systems has soared 5% to Rs 126 in late noon deals on BSE after the company said it has received an order worth of Rs 1,573 crore from Odisha Power Generation Corporation (OPGC).

The order is for OPGC's 2X660 MW thermal power plant with third and fourth units. The project includes development of a captive coal mine and railway transportation system, BGR Energy Systems said in a statement.

The scope includes design, engineering, manufacture, procurement, supply, inspection, testing, commissioning and performance testing of Balance of Plant (BoP) works.

The stock opened at Rs 121 and has seen a combined 1.13 million shares changing hands on the counter till 1520 hours on BSE and NSE.
