BGR Energy Systems has moved higher by 13% to Rs 134 on the National Stock Exchange (NSE) in noon deal after the company has received letter of intent worth of Rs 2,300 crore from Andhra Pradesh Power Generation Corporation Limited (APGENCO).
“The company has received a letter of intent from Andhra Pradesh Power Generation Corporation Limited (APGENCO) whereby APGENCO has awarded a contract for execution of balance of plant equipment/systems including civil works for 1 x 800MW - Dr.Narla Tata Rao Thermal Power Station, Stage - V (1X800 mw), unit-8 at lbrahimpatnam, Krishna District, Andhra Pradesh on EPC basis,” BGR Energy Systems said in a regulatory filing.
The total lump sum price of the contract is Rs 2299.87 crore. The contract completion period is 36 months from the date of award, it added.
At 12:09 PM, the stock was up 11% at Rs 131 on the NSE. A combined 2.63million shares changed hands on the counter so far as against an average sub one million shares that were traded daily in past two weeks on the BSE and NSE.
