Bharat Electronics slips after block deal booster

 The counter moved up in afternoon trades after witnessing a block deal of 7 lakh shares. According to market buzz, the block deal took place at a price of Rs 474-475 per share.

 According to market sources, a private mutual fund was the buying party for the block deal though the seller was unknown. The company has seen buying in the recent past because of a healthy order book.

 BEL has been signed by the Election Commission (EC) to supply electronic voting machines (EVMs) to meet the shortages for these machines. The company has been supplying EVMs to EC since 1988-89.
