Bharti Airtel gains on talk MSCI to raise weightage to 2.6%

Bharti Airtel is likely to attract inflow worth Rs 20 crore in the counter

Shares of Bharti Airtel have gained over 3% to Rs 398 on the BSE in an otherwise subdued market on the buzz that Morgan Stanley Capital International (MSCI) Global Standard Indexes increased the weightage of the company in the MSCI India Index to 2.6 per cent from 1.3 per cent, effective June 1, 2015.  CLICK HERE TO READ THE REPORT

Bharti Airtel is likely to attract inflow worth Rs 20 crore in the counter. 

On July 3, 2014, RBI increased the FII limit on the stock from to 74 per cent from 49 per cent. Consequently, MSCI increased the FIF (Foreign Inclusion Factor) from 0.15 to 0.3.
 

Bharti Airtel is the only stock trading in the positive territory among the 30-share Sensex pack.

The stock opened at Rs 392 and touched a high of Rs 404 on the BSE. A total of 163,519 shares changed hands on the BSE.
