BHEL gains 4%; Ranbaxy down 3%

BHEL has gained 4.1% to Rs 1,543. Reliance Infrastructure has moved up 2.6% to Rs 1,049.

SBI has advanced 2.4% at Rs 1,341. Tata Steel is up 2.1% to Rs 855.

Larsen & Toubro has added 2% to Rs 2,707. Bharti Airtel has inched 1.7% to Rs 821.

Jaiprakash Associates has gained 1.4% to Rs 186.

Wipro, Mahindra & Mahindra and Grasim are up 1.2% each at Rs 479, Rs 581 and Rs 2,218, respectively.

Ranbaxy has plunged nearly 3% at Rs 544. Ambuja Cements and DLF have lost 2.2% each to Rs 86 and Rs 500, respectively.

HDFC Bank has declined 1.6% to Rs 1,166. NTPC and Infosys are down nearly 1% each at Rs 164 and Rs 1,877, respectively.

 

The markets breadth is marginally positive - out of 2,640 stocks traded so far, 1,417 have advanced, 1,143 have declined and 80 are unchanged.
