Bharat Heavy Electricals Limited (BHEL) is trading higher by over 2% at Rs 227 on the NSE after the government said that state-run company is executing an order of Uttar Pradesh Rajya Vidyut Utpadan Nigam for two 500 units of Anpara thermal power station located in Sonebhadra district valued at Rs 3,395 crore.
“The scope of work for BHEL includes design, engineering, manufacture, supply, erection and commissioning of Boiler, Turbine and Generator Package along with associated auxiliaries, some balance of plant and civil works,” the PTI report suggests.
The stock opened at Rs 222 and has seen a combined 950,957 shares changing hands on the counter in opening deals on both the exchanges.
