Bharat Heavy Electrical (Bhel) shares rose 2.36 per cent to Rs 1,338.27 on the announcement that the company would set up a joint venture with Kerala Electrical & Allied Engineering company (KEL) for manufacturing products for railways and other industries. Bhel has signed a MoU with KEL to this effect.
The stock made an intraday high of Rs 1,364 and a low of Rs 1,315 with trading volumes of 3.68 lakh shares, on par with its two-week average. The scrip made a 52-week high of Rs 2,366 (February 29, 2008) and a low of Rs 984 (October 27, 2008).
