The stock gained 7 per cent to Rs 461.10, on reports that the company would launch its Global Depository Receipts (GDRs) issue this week. The company has already taken shareholders nod to raise additional capital of around $35 million (approx Rs 163 crore) through the GDR issue.
The company, which derives 45 per cent of its revenues from the global business, is likely to benefit from the switch over to blister packaging from bottle packaging in the US by 2012.
