Domestic investors may soon get a flavour of German stocks, as the Bombay Stock Exchange is planning to launch futures contracts of German index DAX. BSE Chief Executive Madhu Kannan said the exchange was in discussions with Deutsche Börse to bring the product to India. “The move would be subject to regulatory approvals,” he added. If launched, Dax will join a swelling list of global indices available for trade in India. The National Stock Exchange has already launched trading of Dow Jones Futures and S&P 500 Futures on its platform. It also plans to launch European indices.
