Bse Suspends Debt Markets Director

The Bombay Stock Exchange (BSE) on Thursday suspended its debt markets director G L Gera on charges of administrative and financial mismanagement.

Sources said Gera was having unauthorised access to the telephone lines of the exchange and a three-member inquiry committee has been set up to ascertain the seriousness of the mismanagement.

The exchange has already informed the Securities and Exchange Board of India (Sebi) about the action.

Gera, when contacted, said he would wait until the investigations were over before taking any decision.
