The Bombay Stock Exchange (BSE) today said short selling in four scrips, including Corporation Bank and IndusInd Bank will not be available on the bourse with effect from July 31.
Four scrips -- Aptech, Bajaj Holdings & Investment, Corporation Bank and IndusInd Bank -- would not be available for trading in the SLB segment with effect from July 31, the BSE said in a notice.
These scrips have ceased to fulfill eligibility criteria and hence these scrips would not be available for trading in the Securities Lending and Borrowing segment, it added.
Short selling is an activity wherein a investor sells shares without owning it.
