The Bombay Stock Exchange (BSE) has decided to provide the backoffice software for trading on its mutual fund (MF) platform to its member brokers.
The BSE had launched the platform for trading MF units a week ago. The National Stock Exchange had launched such a platform a fortnight ago. BSE CEO Madhu Kannan today announced the details of the operations of this platform at a meeting with brokers.
The exchange had acquired Market Place Technology, a company that has developed a number of backoffice and front-end software for the securities industry, a couple of months ago. The backoffice software for trading on the MF segment is the first-of-its-kind so far. It will help members generate trade notes and fund advises for MF transactions.
