Bajaj Auto has rallied 3.5% to Rs 2,295. Maruti has surged nearly 3% to Rs 859, and Mahindra & Mahindra has advanced 1.5% to Rs 690.
Hindustan Unilever has gained 2.5% at Rs 226. SBI has moved up 1.8% to Rs 2,075, and Ranbaxy has added 1.3% to Rs 450.
Larsen & Toubro and Wipro have dropped 3% each to Rs 3,535 and Rs 434, respectively.
Infosys, Bharti Airtel and DLF have tumbled 2.8% each to Rs 1,554, Rs 821 and Rs 783, respectively.
Reliance has shed 2.5% at Rs 2,473. Tata Steel has slipped over 2% to Rs 806.
Out of 2,677 stocks traded so far, 1,844 have declined, 785 have advanced and 48 are unchanged.
