<b>Budget 2008: </b> Sensex down 59pts

The Sensex opened with a negative gap of 44 points at 17,780, and is now down 59 points at 17,766.

The NSE Nifty is now down 18 points at 5,267.

Bharti Airtel and Ambuja Cements have shed 1.7% each at Rs 830 and Rs 119, respectively.

HDFC and Infosys have slipped around 1.5% each to Rs 2,731 and Rs 1,576, respectively.

ONGC and ICICI Bank have dropped 1.3% each to Rs 1,025 and Rs 1,089, respectively.

Wipro and HDFC Bank are down over 1% each at Rs 441 and Rs 1,454, respectively.

Bajaj Auto is up nearly 1% at Rs 2,240.
