Builders Target Middle-Income Group Consumers

The real estate developers are targeting the middle-income group for their residential projects to generate volumes.

The shift is evident in the composition of flats, built to cater to both the groups by each developer. Earlier, around 70 per cent of the Ansal group flats were in the high- income category, with houses priced at Rs 25 lakh and above, but in the revised portfolio, they account for only 30 per cent.
