Bulls continue to rule, Sensex surges another 200pts

The Sensex is exhibiting firm trend for the second day in a row, and is now up 227 points at 9,651. Banking and realty stocks are leading the upmove.

The BSE Bankex has soared 6% to 4,588, and the Realty index has surged 5% to 1,655.

HDFC Bank has zoomed 7.5% to Rs 950, and ICICI Bank has soared 5.5% to Rs 366. SBI has rallied 4.5% to Rs 1,070, and HDFC has added 3.5% to Rs 1,583.

DLF has surged nearly 5% to Rs 176. Bharti Airtel and Larsen & Toubro have gained around 3.5% each at Rs 614 and Rs 625, respectively.

 

BHEL and Grasim have moved up 2.7% each to Rs 1,451 and Rs 1,563, respectively. Wipro has added 2.5% to Rs 245.

Tata Power, Jaiprakash Associates and Maruti have advanced 2.3% each to Rs 714, Rs 86 and Rs 750, respectively.

Infosys, Ranbaxy and Mahindra & Mahindra are up 2% each.
