Buying continues; Sensex up 140pts

The Sensex has touched its previous all-time high of 9690, and is now up 126 points at 9,676.

ICICI Bank and Dr.Reddy's are up 4% each at Rs 595 and Rs 1,084, respectively.

Larsen & Toubro has surged 3.7% to Rs 2,015, and Bajaj Auto is up 3.5% at Rs 2,147.

HLL is up 2.7% at Rs 193. HDFC has moved up 2.5% to Rs 1,262.

Hero Honda, ONGC, BHEL and Tata Motors have also jumped over 2% each.

Maruti is down over 1% to Rs 735.

Out of 2,563 stocks traded so far 1,107 have moved up, 1,384 have declined and the rest are unchanged.

Colgate has zoomed 12.5% to Rs 318 followed by United Phosphorous up 10.5% at Rs 290. Alfa Laval, ICI India, Bharat Electricals, EIH and Alstom Projects have also posted significant gains.

Century Enka has plunged over 11% to Rs 187. Corporation Bank, Union Bank, Escorts, Canara Bank and Indo Rama are on slippery ground.
