Shares of Camlin Fine Sciences were locked in the 5 per cent upper circuit at Rs 102.35 on the BSE on Friday on the back of heavy volumes. Stock of the specialty chemicals company was trading at its 52-week high level, gaining 11 per cent in the past one week after the company announced commencement of commercial production at Dahej unit. In comparison, the S&P BSE Sensex was down 4 per cent during the same period

Trading volumes on the counter more-than-doubled with a combined 733,000 equity shares changing hands on the NSE and BSE till the time of writing
