Cardamom down 1.4% on sluggish demand

Adequate stocks position in the physical market also influenced trading in cardamom prices

Cardamom futures for April declined by Rs 14.70, or 1.40%, to Rs 1,028.30 per kg in 96 lots.

At the Multi Commodity Exchange (MCX), the March contract traded lower by Rs 12.30, or 1.22%, to Rs 995.60 per kg with trading volume of 597 lots.

Prices went down a speculators offloaded holdings due to subdued spot demand at prevailing increased levels.

Adequate stocks position in the physical market also influenced trading in cardamom prices.
