Cardamom falls 1.5% on sluggish demand

Higher supplies from producing belts put pressure on cardamom

Cardamom futures for February fell by Rs 14.60, or 1.49%, to Rs 967.80 per kg in 369 lots.

At the Multi Commodity Exchange (MCX), the March contract shed 4.30, or 0.42%, to Rs 1,019.60 per kg in 962 lots.

Prices dropped as speculators offloaded positions, due to sluggish spot market demands at prevailing higher levels.

Higher supplies from producing belts also put pressure on cardamom.
