Cardamom prices fell by 3% to Rs 775.60 per kg in futures trade today on speculators selling, following slackened demand in the spot markets against adequate stocks position.

At the Multi Commodity Exchange, cardamom for September delivery fell by Rs 24, or 3%, to Rs 775.60 per kg, with a business turnover of 118 lots.

October cardamom lost Rs 17.10, or 1.74%, to Rs 968 per kg, with a business turnover of 336 lots.

Marketmen said adequate stocks availability in the physical market against subdued demand kept pressure on cardamom prices.
