Cardamom futures prices continued its slide and fell by another Rs 4 to Rs 927 per kg, as speculators reduced their holdings, driven by subdued demand in the spot market.

Increased arrivals at the spot markets from producing regions also weighed on the cardamom futures prices.

At the Multi Commodity Exchange counter, cardamom for December contract fell by Rs 4, or 0.46 per cent, to Rs 927 per kg, with a trade volume of just one lot.

Similarly, the spice for delivery in November contract shed Rs 1.60, or 0.17 per cent to Rs 930 per kg, with a trade volume of just one lot.

Marketmen said speculators reduced their positions due to fall in demand in spot markets, pulling cardamom futures prices down.
