Cardamom prices recovered by Rs 7.80 to Rs 1,109 a kg in futures trade today as speculators created fresh positions, supported by a rise in spot demand against restricted supply.
At the Multi Commodity Exchange, cardamom for delivery in April gained Rs 7.80, or 0.71%, to Rs 1,109 per kg, with a business turnover of a single lot.
The May contract moved up by Rs 7.10, or 0.63%, to Rs 1,140, with an open interest of one lot.
Market analysts attributed the recovery to pick-up in demand in the spot markets.
