Cardamom futures prices rebounded by Rs 10.80 to Rs 955 per kg today, as speculators enlarged their positions on hopes of pick up in demand during the upcoming marriage season.
Restricted arrivals from producing regions also supported the rise in prices.
At the Multi Commodity Exchange platform, cardamom for delivery in February rose by Rs 10.80, or 1.14 per cent to Rs 955 per kg, with a trade volume of just one lot.
Similarly, the spice for delivery in November contract moved up by Rs 10.40, or 1.11 per cent to Rs 944.50 per kg, with a trade volume of just one lot.
Traders said firm trend at spot markets on pick up in domestic demand for the marriage season, attributed to the rise in cardamom futures prices.
